Qualification Summary

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience:
Must have an approved and current nationally recognized certification for the type of activity and skill levels instructing, i.e. swimming, aquatic exercise, etc. Must have nationally recognized certification in lifesaving and water rescue methods and skills as well as first aid training, and CPR (both child and adult) training and must be proficient in the latest approved methods of lifesaving and resuscitation techniques to include cardiopulmonary resuscitation for children, adults, and infants. Must have experience which provides a practical knowledge of instructional and developmental teaching methods, swimming activities, rules and procedures, and skill in the use and maintenance of various pool and safety equipment. Knowledge of pool operations to include status of real property, service request, filtration system, safety inspection, and testing requirements for chlorine levels. STATEMENT OF DIFFERENCE
This position is similar to the duties described on position 55126 except that this position only requires applicants to provide proof of
supervisory experience, supervising a minimum of 2 to 6 employees. Employee will receive training and must perform duties of the
position to an acceptable level with the trainer within 6 to 12 months. Incumbent will be non-competitively promoted to the target
NF-III level. In addition, incumbent must also obtain nationally recognized certification in lifesaving and water rescue methods and
skills, as well as basic first aid training and CPR (both child and adult). Incumbent must have or received this certification prior to or
within the first 30 days of employment. Employee will not perform work until certification has been obtained and failure to obtain
certification within allotted 30 days will result in termination of employment. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
