Qualification Summary
Military Grades: E5 through E7 Compatible Military Assignments: 2T071 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a knowledge of and understanding of administrative, professional, analytical, or other work relating to traffic or transportation programs or operations. Must be skilled in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training interpreting regulations/requirements and developing local policies to implement changes effectively. Experience applying applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations concerning transportation and traffic procedures. Experience preparing reports and recommendations involving appeals, special permits, adjustments in rates and charges. Experience which involved negotiations with carriers on individual shipments or traffic movement. Work Environment: Work is generally performed in an office or similar setting, which involves minimal risk or discomfort and requires normal safety precautions. Some exposure to moderate discomforts results from working in the warehouse and packing areas with low/high temperature, high humidity, or drafty or noisy conditions. There is also risk of physical injury when working around large crates and uncrated items. Physical Effort: Work is primarily sedentary, although some physical effort is required when walking, standing, bending, or carrying light items. Occasionally lifts and carries parts, equipment, and packed containers when assisting subordinates with their work.
