Qualification Summary
Specialized Experience Requirements:In order to be rated as qualified for this position, we must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement- please be sure to include this information in your resume. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade of the position to be filled.To Qualify for GS-07:One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level. Examples of specialized experience includes, but isnot limited to, assistingvarious land cases, i.e. public sales, ROW, land exchange, acquisitions, agriculture entries, land class, withdrawals, leases, permits, recreation and public purpose leases/patents and airport leases/patents,state selections, trespasses, etc. Serving as trainee realty specialist, realty technician, land law examiner, or legal clerk on lands actions of other public lands use authority; familiarity withwith field exams, NEPA process, regulation and compliance. -OR -Successfulcompletion ofone full year of graduate education leading to a Master’s degree (or Superior Academic Acheivement, such as B.S. and 3.0 cumulative GPA, or 3.5 GPA in final two years, or 3.5 GPA in core coursework).-OR- A combination of education andexperience.To Qualify for GS-09:One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level. Examples of specialized experience includes, but isnot limited to, experience with assisting in field exams casework process and preparation of environmental analysis and documentation for various land cases, i.e. public sales, ROW, land exchange, acquisitions, agriculture entries, land class, withdrawals, leases, permits, recreation and public purpose leases/patents and airport leases/patents,state selections, trespasses, etc. Serves as trainee realty specialist, realty technician, land law examiner, or legal clerk on lands actions of other public lands use authority; providing experience with field exams, NEPA process, regulation and compliance.- OR -Successfulcompletion of a master’s or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.-OR- A combination of education and experience.To Qualify for GS-11:One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09level. Examples of specialized experience includes, but isnot limited to, experience preparingfield assessmentsand environmental analysis documentation for various land cases, i.e. public sales, ROW, land exchange, acquisitions, agriculture entries, land class, withdrawals, leases, permits, recreation and public purpose leases/patents and airport leases/patents, state selections, trespasses, etc. Serves as trainee realty specialist, realty technician, land law examiner, or legal clerk on lands actions of other public lands use authority; providing experience with field exams, NEPA process, regulation and compliance.- OR – Ph.D. or equivalent degree or 3 full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to such a degree, or LL.M. if related. -OR- A combination of education and experience.You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade requirement in accordance with 5 CFR 300.604. If you are a current Federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.
