Qualification Summary
Basic Requirement: You must meet all the following basic requirements in order to be considered eligible for this position. Education – Must have graduated from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association. (Note: You must submit copies of your transcripts to verify that you meet this requirement); AND Bar Requirement – Must be a current member in good standing of the bar of a State or Territory of the United States or the District of Columbia or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico bar association. (Note: You must submit proof of bar membership (letter or card); AND Specialized Experience: Specialized Experience for the GS-12: Applicants must have at least one year of professional legal experience post bar admission and one full-time year (12-months) of specialized work experience equivalent to the GS-11 in the Federal service (or private sector equivalent) advising agencies (Federal, state, or local), individuals or entities on matters concerning whistleblower protection laws, criminal and/or administrative investigations (including, but not limited to, investigations of employee misconduct). Specialized Experience for the GS-13: Applicants must have at least two years of professional legal experience post bar admission and one full-time year (12-months) of specialized work experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service (or private sector equivalent) advising agencies (Federal, state, or local), individuals or entities on matters concerning whistleblower protection laws, criminal and/or administrative investigations (including, but not limited to, investigations of employee misconduct).
