Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Food Service Worker Applicants must: Be able to follow simple oral instructions Have the ability to use hand tools for cleaning and operate simple machines. Be skilled in doing tasks with several steps and must use judgment in sequencing tasks. Be physically able to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds and continuously stand and walk with frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling and bending for long periods of time. Satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical and background investigation with favorable results. Be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate and/or complete food handler’s training. *If claiming Military Spouse Preference (MSP), spouse’s PCS orders listing you as an eligible dependent MUST be included with your application for verification.
