Qualification Summary
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Providing advice in epidemiology, surveillance, and health related outcomes. Developing recommendations regarding suicide prevention and surveillance methods. Collecting and analyzing data related to suicide, and translating analyzed data into clear and concise graphs, charts, tables, and narrative. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. This position has an EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: In addition to meeting qualifications, your application package must reflect the applicable experience to meet the Individual Occupational Requirements for the 0601 series. Bachelor’s or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.*NOTE: Failure to provide transcripts will result in you being rated ineligible for this position.
