Qualification Summary
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience, as defined below: Specialized experience is defined as experience that is directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled. Such work includes progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled. GS-05: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level. Basic resource management clerical or office work under close supervision. Examples of experience may include: preparing regular and recurring memorandums, reports, and correspondence; obtaining information from employees and supervisors in the field; responding to a specified range of questions from employees and supervisors in the field; maintaining databases, spreadsheets, and various computer applications that facilitate office and/or resource management functions; experience filing, managing a mailing system and working with switch phones as well as maintaining tracking and logging systems and case files related to resource management. GS-06: Must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level. Intermediate resource management clerical or office work performed with general supervision. In addition to the support work above, experience may include: Preparing standard and non-standard documents and reports for managers and others pertaining to resource management, inspection and enforcement activity; obtaining data and preparing summaries and presentations of analytical studies; designing queries and reports from databases and creating, modifying and maintaining, various databases and computer application used to facilitate resource management areas such as budget, training, travel, personnel management, and property accountability; compiling recurring and ad hoc reports for senior management officials. GS-07: Must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level. Advance resource management clerical or office work performed independently, with minimal supervision. Experience may include: Preparing a wide variety of memorandums, reports, and correspondence; obtaining information from customers; responding to a specified range of questions from employees and supervisors; maintaining databases, spreadsheets, and various computer applications that facilitate office and/or resource management functions; experience filing, managing a mailing system, as well as maintaining tracking and logging systems and case files related to resource management. In addition to the support work above, experience may include serving as the coordinator, with the responsibility for / ownership of the day-to day activity, for two or more semi-independent resource management tasks such as, personnel actions, staffing schedules, travel coordination, tracking expenditures, property accountability, scheduling training and time and attendance.
