In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DP-04 or NM-04 (GS-13/14) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: a substantive knowledge of the concepts, principles, and theories of aerodynamics or space environments related to the design, development, testing, analysis, application, and utilization of aerospace and aeronautical devices, vehicles, systems, and equipment. Specialized experience would include some or all of the following: 1) Reviewing, formulating, establishing, and/or negotiating all engineering requirements to be embodied in technical criteria documents governing fixed and rotary wing air vehicles; 2) Serving as a technical specialist and advisor for matters related to flight, ground and shipboard compatibility loads and criteria, structural dynamics and aeroelastic stability, and ground, wind tunnel and flight testing; 3) Evaluating proposals for new and modifications of existing air vehicles to determine acceptability or identify deficiencies related to flight and ground loadings and shipboard compatibility; 4) Assessing the adequacy of loads data and/or generating the substantiating loads bases for release of air vehicles for structural flight tests and assure safety operational limits; 5) Developing engineering solutions to fleet structural problems related to flight and ground loads and shipboard compatibility, and safe operational limits.
