Qualification Summary
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state’s National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. If you are not sure you are eligible for military membership, please contact a National Guard recruiter at 1-800-GO-GUARD (1-800-464-8273) prior to applying for this position. Selected candidate will be required to be in a compatible military assignment prior to effective date of placement. Selected candidate must be MOS qualified within 12 months from date of appointment. Maximum Military Grade – LTC (O-5) Minimum Military Grade – MAJ (O-4) that are DA Select Officer- AOC 90A or 92A Supervisor must verify that selected individual occupies a compatible military position. Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor or wage leader (grade inversion). GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of the principles of organization, management and administration; and experience using computer and automation systems. GS-13 SPECALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 36 months of specialized experience in managing preparing and maintaining contingency plans for domestic emergencies, civil disturbances, natural disasters, and state security programs. The specialized experience must also include experience developing and recommending policy, in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures; experience which demonstrates your ability to establish criteria, formulate projects, assess program effectiveness and investigate a variety of unusual conditions, problems and questions; experience preparing written communications and oral presentations and/or briefings and experience which includes leading, directing, and assigning work of personnel.
