Qualification Summary
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Time-in-grade: Applicants who are current Federal employees or who have held a GS grade anytime in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. Example for a GS-7 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-6 level. Basic Requirement (GS-07)
There are no basic requirements for this position. Specialized Experience (GS-07)
Applicants must have One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-06) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Knowledge of the rules and regulations of the government-wide or similar Purchase Card Program. Knowledge of VA and Federal Acquisition or similar regulations and financial regulations pertaining to purchase card procurement actions and use of appropriate accounting data. Knowledge of the interrelated activities involving procurement and supply procedures, which includes contracting, inventory management, distribution, fund control and automatic data processing. Knowledge of auditing, accounting principles, and appropriation data to identify appropriate fund control points, budget object codes and cost centers. Ability to interpret and analyze information, and the ability to reduce such data to clear, precise written summaries, reports and recommendations, etc. Additional information on the qualification requirements are outlined in the OPM Qualifications Standards Handbook of General Schedule Positions.
