Military Grades: Enlisted Only GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which demonstrates that the candidate has the ability to perform satisfactorily routine work supporting an office or organization. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-06 Level – Must have at least 9 months experience which demonstrates the candidate’s knowledge of filing procedures to perform alphabetical, numerical or chronological filing. Experience in clerical work, office work, or processing incoming and outgoing mail. Experience receiving and shipping various packages. GS-05 Level – Must have at least 6 months experience which demonstrates the candidate’s knowledge of filing procedures to perform alphabetical, numerical or chronological filing. Experience in clerical work, office work, or processing incoming and outgoing mail. GS-04 Level – Must have at least 3 months experience which demonstrates the candidate’s knowledge of filing procedures to perform alphabetical, numerical or chronological filing. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
