Qualification Summary
Basic Qualifications Requirement for the 1701 Series: 1.Degree: that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position. -OR- 2.Combination of education and experience — courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described in A above. Minimum Qualifications:
In addition to meeting the basic qualification requirements, applicants must meet the specialized experience and selective placement factor as stated below: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position level in the Federal service, to include experience planning, designing, and implementing and evaluating public health education and training programs; developing e-learning educational curricula and conducting training related to infectious disease. Selective Placement Factor: This position includes a special qualification requirements that are essential in successfully performing the duties of this position. Selective Placement Factors are a prerequisite to appointment and represent minimum requirements for a position. Applicants who do not meet it are ineligible for further consideration. Evidence of the Selective Placement Factor must be reflected in your resume. Selective Placement Factor for this position: In addition to meeting the above Minimum Qualification requirements, you must be proficient in English and Spanish (i.e. reading, writing and speaking) is required for written and verbal communication with staff, and local public health partners and stakeholders.
