Thakur Rajnath Singh Chouhan (Vijay Anand) falls in love with a run-away nautch girl Tulsi (Asha Parekh). But, he is compelled to get married to a strong rich woman Sanjukta (Nutan) by his mother. Tulsi gives birth to Rajnath’s son Ajay and on behest of Sanjukta; she sacrifices her life for the benefit of the wife. When Tulsi dies, Sanjukta regrets having rejected Tulsi and with her husband adopts Ajay as her own son. This song is heard in the background at this time.

The video begins with the shot of a Tulsi plant and the song beginning in the background. Vijay Anand and Nutan bring a small infant to the plant to take its blessings. The song goes on in the background with the 2 actors standing on either side of the plant. The 2 actors then move away from the place. The song ends abruptly and the video also ends there.

Cultural Influence

This is a typically filmi song and does not have much cultural influence on it. The song and the artists are good. The video is watchable for the same.
