Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific when describing their experience level and KSAs. A qualified candidate possesses the following: Knowledge of food handling techniques, personal hygiene standards, and safe work procedures. Knowledge of measuring techniques and understanding of recipe construction. Knowledge of basic arithmetic to count tables, serving bowls, and determine the number of servings a container yields. Knowledge of dietary principles. Knowledge of sanitation standards and procedures to prevent contamination between food and equipment. Skill to perform food preparation and food service tasks that require several steps to complete. Skill in problem solving to overcome practical production problems, and the ability to initiate corrective action when a food item does not meet quality standards. Skill in developing standardized recipes and modifying recipes based on the required number of servings and/or equipment capacity. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, and possess strong interpersonal communication skills.
