IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK), GS-2210-09 (Trainee): Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Working with the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems. Data processing functions and management principles to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Analysis of the interrelationship of pertinent components of the system. Plans sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment. Schedules the sequence of programs to be processed by computers where alternatives had to be weighed with a view to production efficiency. IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK), GS-2210-11: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-09 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Approaching techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area. Plans sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment entailing coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls. Prepares documentation on cost/benefit studies involved in summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion. TRAINEE POSITION: Applicants not meeting full qualifications for the GS-11 position indicated above may be considered for GS-09 trainee, if qualified. Statement-of-Difference of qualification requirements for each are indicated. If appointed as trainee, the selectee may be non-competitively promoted to GS-11 upon meeting full qualifications and recommendations of supervisor.
