REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. in strategic studies; security studies; political science; public policy; or other relevant social science discipline is required by the employment start date. ACADEMIC DISCIPLINES: Strategic Studies; Security Studies; Political Science; Public Policy; other relevant social science discipline DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: We welcome applications from a range of disciplinary and research backgrounds related to modern defense and military matters. We are particularly interested in candidates with a Ph.D. in strategic studies; security studies; political science; public policy; or other relevant social science discipline with an active research agenda evidenced by scholarly engagement relevant to contemporary military affairs, broadly defined. Preference will be given to applicants with a record of research and publications examining contemporary military strategy, security force assistance, international security with emphasis on modern military affairs, joint military operations across the spectrum of conflict, or other contemporary military-related subjects. A record of undergraduate teaching and academic service is also highly desired, though not required. Prior military experience is NOT required for this position.
