This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: You must currently be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. NOTE: You must submit proof of your current license with your application package. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing technical structural engineering expertise on design, design review, construction, and rehabilitation of a diverse range of projects;
2) Leading others in achieving objectives and milestones for a structural engineering program throughout a regional Command;
3) Applying technical engineering expertise to solve highly challenging and complicated issues and problems requiring new applications or developments; and
4) Providing consultative services on structural engineering issues and the entire range of architectural and engineering activities for facilities construction.
