Specialized experience for the GS-13 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes:- Monitoring the budget and making recommendations; AND – Recording and tracking commitments and obligations in automated accounting systems (such as People-soft, Oracle, etc.); AND – Reviewing and editing office budget submissions for feasibility, accuracy and conformance with procedures and guidelines; AND – Interpreting guidelines and principles and advising program managers on the implementation.
Time-in-Grade:In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12level for 52 weeks.Time After Competitive Appointment:Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
