Actor Hema Malini in the Early 1980s

Today is my Hemu Aunty’s birthday and I have chosen to share some Bollywood songs of Actor Hema Malini in the early 1980s. 1980 saw her marrying Dharam Uncle and the beginning a new phase in her career.

Bollywood and Actor Hema Malini in the Early 1980s

Some of my favorite songs picturized on her from movies released in early 1980s are:

Jadugar jadu kar jayega… Alibaba Aur Chalis Chor (1980)

Tum tum tara rara tum tum taram… Kranti (1981)

Tune oh Rangeele kaisa jadu kiya… Kudrat (1981)

Rang jamake jayenge… Naseeb (1981)

Zindagi milke bitayenge… Satte Pe Satta (1982). This particular song was inspired from The longest day march (1962). And the movie is of the comic genre, a takeoff from the movie Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954).

Bhagire bhagire bhagi Brijbala… Rajput (1982). Pre-marital sex and acceptance of wife’s lover’s child were the key themes of this movie.
