THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION OPEN TO THE FOLLOWING AREA OF CONSIDERATION (AOC): Area of Consideration: This position is open to Category 1 Only. Category 1: All permanent On-Board Technicians employed with the South Carolina Army National Guard (Note- Temporary and Indefinite employees do not meet permanent tenure requirements and will not qualify for this category) Category 2: All current military (M-Day) members of the South Carolina Army National Guard. Category 3: US Citizens eligible for immediate membership in the South Carolina Army National Guard. *If no referral is made from the target category(s), referrals MAY be made from subsequent categories (IF APPLICABLE)* GENERAL EXPERIENCE: To be found minimally qualified for this position you must have experience or training which demonstrates that the candidate has the ability to organize assignments for subordinates, estimate material and manpower needed for specific jobs; able to explain manuals and work procedures; and to prepare production records, work records and reports. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for this position your resume must definitively show that you have 36 months experience in addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.
