Must have 2years experience in Carpenter trade with methods and techniques; ability to develop and apply individual specifications for projects; interpret and develop dimension, plans and patterns based on user’s needs and requests; complete understanding of shop mathematics to plan and compute complex and exact specifications with features such as arcs, tangents and circles; ability to set up, adjust and adapt hand and power tools to accomplish tasks such as cutting bevels, rabbets chamfers, dados, grooves, and miter points; laminating and bending; and fine surfacing of materials; ability to read, interpret and apply. The work involves prolonged standing, bending, stooping, physical exertion, kneeling and other uncomfortable and tiring positions. Frequently is required to work on parts of equipment that are located in hard to reach places. Regularly lifts, moves, and carries light to heavy weight objects. Handles a variety of tools, materials and equipment. Climbs ladders and may perform work from scaffolds or high places. Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance. Must wear protective gear. Must be proficient in finish carpentry.
