Qualification Summary

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to Supervise or Lead others in the Water Treatment Plant Operator trade and perform the following work: Prioritizing work issues such as overcome delays, material shortages, equipment breakdown; Training subordinates in work methods and procedures, proper use of tools and equipment, safe work practices, operation of new equipment, safety regulations, and other rules and regulations; Reading, using, and identifying Facilities Systems Status Reports (FSSR) to develop strategies prior to working in the water treatment facility; Comprehending engineering drawings and specifications related to radioactive liquid waste processing systems and radiological facility support systems; Interpreting blueprints, instructions, prepares layouts, sketches, and requisitions tools, materials and equipment needed; Providing oversight to ensure Radio Active Material (RAM) is adequately identified, properly packaged and logged.
