To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 08/05/2019. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Specialized Experience- GS 11: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-9 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: working closely with facility managers and providing analysis and/or coordination of administrative, clinical and medical center specific activities, working with programs and requirements of health care delivery systems, understanding regulations and standards of various regulatory and credentialing groups, working with medical center administration areas such as budget, personnel and procurement activities, operating with current and relevant technology available in modern healthcare OR, Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a related field of study. This education must have been obtained at an accredited college or university. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent one (1) year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours will be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement . Specialized Experience: GS-12: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-11 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: operating with current and relevant technology available in modern healthcare operating environments, developing data collection and analysis strategies for evaluating specific healthcare initiatives and ensuring program compliance with appropriate regulatory authorities and monitoring programs for proper utilization and quality improvement capabilities You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform portions of the work. However, there is periodic walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as medical records, food trays, instructional material, books and manuals. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, and residences or commercial vehicles. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
