Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Conducts special studies and/or investigation of hazardous situations or operational problems to determine origin; 2) Inspects work site, machine and equipment operations, environmental conditions, and safety procedures; 3) Investigates or assists in the investigation of serious mishaps involving injuries or fatalities and/or significant damage to equipment and property. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Performs inspections as member of a team of higher graded specialists assigned to an office to determine compliance with safety and occupational health laws and regulations; 2) Conducts verbal entrance and exit briefings with managers, supervisors, and work leaders prior to and after surveys and/or inspections to explain the purpose and scope of inspection and pertinent safety and occupational health regulations; 3) Surveys and/or inspects material handling, storage, maintenance, transportation operations, and support facilities for the purpose of determining adherence to established safety practices and program requirements.
