In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume is the key means we have for evaluating your skills, knowledge, and abilities as they relate to this position. Therefore, we encourage you to be clear and specific when describing your experience. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: – Performing maintenance of government owned ships and watercraft demonstrating the ability to survey/inspect/evaluate such vessels for the purposes of determinating general conditions and fitness for operation.
– Apply preventative maintenance concepts, operating principles and methodologies in the operation, inspection and testing (including associated test equipment and maintenance procedures) of the AEGIS Weapons System.
– Compiling and reporting statistical information regarding recurring and significant material deficiencies.
– Conducting inspection related to Radar systems such as Phased Array Radar, Signal Processor and COTS SPY Baseline.
– Conducting inspection of mechanical marine systems such as SPY-1B/D/V Transmitter variants and the Mk 99 Fire Control System.
