Qualification Summary
At the GS-9 grade level applicants must demonstrate in their resume 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-07), in the Federal Service. Examples of specialized experience are described as experience providing effective administrative guidance and assistance to employees and managers in areas such as information technology management, finance and budget management, human resource management, COOP, records management, database management, space management, training and travel needs. OR completion of a master’s or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or JD if related OR a combination of education and experience. (Must submit complete transcripts if using education to qualify).
At the GS-11 grade level applicants must demonstrate in their resume 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-09), in the Federal Service. Examples of specialized experience are described as experience applying in depth knowledge of administrative management functions to provide guidance and assistance to employees and managers within the department. Coordinating resources with internal and external personnel; examples of resources are information technology management, finance and budget management, personnel management, COOP, records management, database management, space management, procurement, training and travel needs. Resolving workflow issues and implementing procedures to effect an efficient office operation. OR Possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 (three) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M; if related. (Degree must be in a field of study directly related to the position for which such education demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position.) (Must submit complete transcripts if using education to qualify). OR A combination of education and experience.
At the GS-12 grade level applicants must demonstrate in their resume 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-11), in the Federal Service. Examples of specialized experience are described as experience gathering and analyzing complex information and work processes to make recommendations and implement policy, procedures and guidelines which will effect changes to promote office efficiency, timeliness and overall businesseffectiveness. Use in depth knowledge of administrative functions to coordinate with internal and external personnel and/or to resolve complex or unique administrative matters related to resources such information technology management, finance and budget management, personnel management, COOP, records management, database management, space management, procurement, training and travel needs. At this grade level you may not substitute education for specialized experience.
