Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree, or higher-level degree from an accredited college or university AND you have 24 or more business related semester hours from an accredited university in any one or a combination of the following fields: accounting , business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management. The 24 semester hours may be obtained within the degree or in addition to the degree. NOTE: Transcripts are required at the time of application. OR Exempt from meeting the education requirement listed above because you are a current Department of Defense (DoD) employee that occupied a 1102 series position on or before September 30, 2000, OR Exempt from meeting the education requirement listed above because you served as a contracting officer with authority to award or administer contracts in excess of the simplified acquisition threshold on or before September 30, 2000ORYou may be exempt from meeting the education requirement listed above because you are a current member of the Armed Forces (not retired or separated) AND you occupied a similar occupational specialty to the 1102 series on or before September 30, 2000. In addition to the Basic Requirement above, applicants must meet the Specialized Experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as developing guidance for acquisition management/contracting programs; and performing pre or post award reviews of complex contractual actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-11 or equivalent) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Contract Performance ManagementContracting/ProcurementTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
