To qualify for the GS-11 Position:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying concepts, principles, methods, and practices in systems development and implementation sufficient to design, develop, implement, and/or maintain Shipyard Programs; Experience applying project management principles, methods, and practices including developing plans and schedules, estimating resource requirements, defining milestones, monitoring activities, and evaluating and reporting accomplishments; Experience serving as the Information Assurance Officer (IAO) for the assigned applications. Experience operating and maintaining software applications using programming languages (e.g., Visual Basic.Net, C#, HTML, VBA, XML, Java Scripting, SharePoint Designer) and Microsoft (MS) Office software.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience assisting designing, building and maintaining applications and databases using the latest Shipyard-adopted technologies and techniques; Experience writing, debugging, and maintaining applications/code using tools such as Oracle procedures/tracing, PL/SQL programming, Cold Fusion, Fusebox, Studio.Net, Framework.Net, C++, MS Access, Visual studio, etc.; Experience utilizing IT systems testing and evaluation principles, methods, and/or tools sufficient to test the functionality and operability of system applications software; Experience assisting conducting risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Incumbent must attain and maintain one of the recognized Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II professional certification, as required by DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, within six months of the assignment to this position. This position has been designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position in specialties areas 42/422 and as a condition of employment, incumbents of the position are required to comply with the DON Cyber IT/CSWF Program requirements of SECNAV M-5239.2, which include: Earn and maintain appropriate credentials from the Cyber IT/CSWF Qualification Matrix (described in SECNAV M-5239.2) associated with the specialty area and level commensurate with the scope of major assigned duties for the position to which you are assigned, and; Participate in a continuous learning program as described in SECNAVINST 1543.2. A minimum of 40 hours of Cyber IT/ CSWF related continuous learning annually documented in a current individual plan signed by both the employee and supervisor. If the individual fails to achieve qualification within six months they must be removed from Cyber IT/CS position.
