To qualify for (GS-11): Do you have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Researching, interpreting, and carrying out engineering assignments for organic paint coatings, low observable coatings, corrosion control, and testing / evaluation of materials; 2) Providing technical input on the planning, design, development, testing, quality control of projects; 3) Collecting and analyzing engineering data to solve problems for new or nonconventional materials involving paints and coatings, develop reports, and provide recommendations; 4) Conducted formal or on-the-job training for low observable coatings. To qualify for (GS-09): Do you have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: (1) 1) Researching, interpreting, and carrying out engineering assignments of new or non-conventional materials involving paints and coatings; 2) Utilizing basic engineering techniques, procedures, and methods; 3) Understanding and completing limited engineering designs and projects.
