This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to perform the work of an Electrician WG-2805-10 without more than normal supervision as demonstrated by performing the following tasks: 1) Installing and repairing electrical systems in the construction or maintenance of family housing units, building, quarters, offices, or shops. 2) Making repairs that can be accomplished by removing, replacing, tightening, splicing, soldering, and insulating defective wiring, controls, equipment, and fixtures; 3) Reading and following wiring diagrams that specify where wiring, fixtures, and controls are installed or are to be hooked up and show the type of wiring, fittings, and equipment installed or to be used; 4) Locating and repairing or replacing broken, worn, damaged, or poorly operating wiring fixtures, controls, and equipment. Applicants must meet the requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Job Qualification System for Trades and Labor Occupations (X-118C).
