However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Electroplating Worker~ without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common duties which includes draining solutions, cleaning and refilling tanks. I can assist in mixing of solutions, regulating temperatures, or testing solutions to determine the proper components. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. – Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal SupervisionAbility to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprint reading)Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and EquipmentDexterity and SafetyKnowledge of MetalsTechnical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)Use of Measuring Instruments Physical Effort: Requires continued use of both hands, and frequent standing, stooping, bending, reaching and lifting at shoulder level. Frequently lifts objects weighing over 45 pounds. Working Conditions: Works inside in shop areas having adequate light, ventilation, and safety controls. Subject to heat from open vats and fumes from toxic acids, as well as burns, scalds and skin irritations. Required to wear protective clothing and equipment including rubber gloves, aprons, rubber boots and face shield or respirator. Subject to weather extremes.
