To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision. Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc. Dexterity and Safety Work Practices (includes keeping things neat, clean and in order). EXPERIENCE: A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. Evidence which demonstrates you possess the knowledge, skills and ability to perform the duties of this position must be supported by detailed descriptions of such on your resume. Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualifications Standard handbook. PHYSICAL EFFORT: Moderate heavy physical effort is used while performing housekeeping duties, such as that involved in using vacuum cleaners and dry mops: running lightweight powered scrubbers and buffers: continually standing, bending, stooping, and reaching, frequently lifting and emptying wastebasket: frequently pushing carts loaded with dirty laundry or waste paper; and occasionally lifting and carrying items weighing up to and over 50 pounds. WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing housekeeping duties; works indoors in areas which normally have adequate heat, light and ventilation; is exposed to dirt and disagreeable odors. During winter months work is also performed outdoors when necessary to remove snow/ice from entrance ways.
