Qualification Summary
To qualify for this position, you must possess one or all of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: Experience: At least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Examples of specialized include but are not limited to: analyzing data and budget information; evaluating and improving the efficiency of administrative operations and management with emphasis on budget preparation; analysis and review of purchase documents for compliance with acquisition policy and procedures; applying fiscal and contracting principles such as, (funding and contracting methods), or comparable experience. OR
Education: Master’s or equivalent graduate degree or, 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or, LL.B. or J.D., if related.
OR
Combination Education and Experience: I do not have one year of specialized experience as described above, or the two years of graduate education in a directly related field as described above, but I have an equivalent combination of such education and experience. For example, I have six months of the specialized experience (50 percent of the experience requirement), and 27 semester hours or 41 quarter hours of appropriate directly related graduate education (50 percent of the education requirement). Only graduate education in excess of one full year, may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-9. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must include months, years and hours per week worked to receive credit for your work and/or volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as “varies”.
