EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for Professional and Scientific Positions and Individual Occupational Requirements for GS-0185: Social Work Series). BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Degree: Social Work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the MASTER’S DEGREE in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: In addition to meeting the basic entry level qualification requirements, applicants must have the following: GS-11: In addition to meeting the basic education requirement, I have at least 1 year of specialized experience or the equivalent, comparable to at least the GS-9 in the Federal Service (obtained in either the public or private sector). Specialized experience is work that involved applying the professional knowledge of the theories, principles, practices, techniques and methods of social work to a range of work assignments involving child protection, child welfare, casework treatment and services, and maintaining a formalized case management system which documents the workflow of case services. In addition to meeting the basic requirement, I have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education, IF RELATED All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
