0150 series: Degree inGeography, or related physical or social science such as geology, meteorology, economics, statistics, sociology, anthropology, political science, history, cartography, computer science, urban studies, or planning that included at least 24 semester hours in geography or related fields -OR- combination of education and experience— courses equivalent to a major in geography, or a related field that included at least 24 semester hours in geography or related fields, as shownabove, plus appropriate experience or additional education. 0401series:Degree in Biological Sciences, Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, Chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position -OR- a combination of education and experience—courses equivalent to a major, as shown above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. Specialized Experience:In addition to meeting the positive education requirement, your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade (GS-11) of the position to be filled.Examples include:Applyinga wide range of theories, principles, concepts, practices, standards, and methods of geospatial ecology in order to serve as a bureau consultant, advisor and lead;demonstrate experience and knowledge of geospatial data, applications and tools used in BLM;experience and ability to coordinate a variety of projects, facilitate cooperation; foster commitment and team spirit; and to work with others to achieve bureau and project goals.In order to be rated as qualified for this position, we must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement.
