Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Materials Handler (Forklift Operator/ Motor Vehicle Operator) without more than normal supervision. I can perform warehousing functions (stacking, moving, arranging, etc.) associated with medical and non-medical supplies and equipment. I utilize automated hand held terminals to conduct inventory of medical and non-medical supply items. I conduct the storage of medical and non-medical supply items based on established policies and procedures. I operate mechanized equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) to move and stack medical supplies, non-medical supply, and equipment items in a warehouse environment. I operate motor vehicles to deliver medical supplies, non-medical supplies, and equipment to required locations. – Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal SupervisionAbility to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc.Dexterity and SafetyKnowledge of MaterialsTechnical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)Work Practices (includes keeping things neat, clean, and in order) Physical Efforts: Physical effort required includes continuous standing, bending, lifting, walking and performs work on hard surfaces. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing up to 45 pounds, and at times, may lift heavier items with assistance of weight handling equipment or with assistance from other workers. Working Conditions: Incumbent typically works both inside and outside and may be subject to heat, cold, damp, drafty, or poorly lighted areas. Work may be dirty, dusty and greasy. Frequently exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, abrasions and falls. May be subject to exposure when working with hazardous materials and requires the use of protective clothing such as safety shoes, hardhats, gloves, etc.
