In addition to the educational requirement for Auditors, candidates must meet the following qualification requirements:
GS-5: Candidates must either have completed 4 academic years of post-high school leading to a bachelor’s degree orhigher degree OR haveone full year or more of specializedexperienceequivalent to the GS-4 level.Experience at GS-4 levelis:Specialized experience is professional accounting, auditing or related experience that demonstrates awareness of Generally Accepted Auditng Standards or Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards.
GS-7: Candidates must either have completed 1 full academic year of graduate level education or have eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement Provision and completion of a bachelor’s degree OR have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 level. Specialized experience is professional accounting, auditing or related experience utilizing Generally Accepted Auditing or Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards.
Candidates may also be able to combine education and experience to meet the requirements.
