Qualification Summary
GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Administering sealift programs relevant to ocean transportation (i.e., dry cargo, ocean tugs, oilers and special project operations); 2) Directing and coordinating operational matters concerning the loading, discharging, routing and mailing of controlled dry cargo and tanker vessels; 3) Planning and directing cargo and bulk petroleum movements (i.e., embarkation and debarkation, dry and liquid cargo loading and discharge); 4) Planning, developing oil spill policy, prevention, reporting and clean up procedures for marine vessels. NOTE: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for the position. GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting various ship types, characteristics and capabilities to formulate marine transportation traffic plans for personnel and cargo; 2) Operating computers and general office support software to input data and records of marine transportation; 3) Applying Marine/Ocean transportation policies and procedures to manage shipboard operations of dry cargo and tanker vessels; and 4) Planning and implementing oil spill prevention and clean up procedures for marine vessels.
