To qualify for the GS-13 level, you need to have a least one year of full time experience equivalent to the GS-12 level defined as experience: planning, organizing, and directing investigations (specifically in the areas of financial fraud (i.e., contract or grant fraud), employee misconduct, etc); using required knowledge of criminal investigative techniques, rules of criminal procedures, laws, and precedent court decisions concerning the admissibility of evidence, constitutional rights, search and seizure, and related issues in the conduct of investigations. To be considered qualified your resume must clearly demonstrate, through examples of work, that you meet the specialized experience.Your answers to the on-line assessment will be used to evaluate your knowledge, skill, and abilities (KSAs)/competencies in the following areas:Criminal InvestigationsSurveillanceSeizurePlanning and EvaluatingWritingOral CommunicationYou do not need to provide a separate response to the KSAs.
