Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience need not have been in the federal government. For this position, specialized experience is; Experience working with broadband stakeholders concerning broadband development, adoption, and usage.
Experience with the development of technical assistance program materials to promote broadband infrastructure, adoption, and use initiatives.
Experience in analyzing broadband initiatives and documenting the identified best practices and outcomes. -OR
Possess one of the following (Copies of transcript(s) must be submitted with your application by the closing date of this announcement): Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR
LLM., if related; -OR
Possess a combination of education and specialized experience: Applicants may qualify based on a combination of specialized experience and education. Experience and successfully-completed education at the appropriate level (see above) may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements for the GS-11.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
