To qualify, there is no specific length of training or experience required; however, you must be able to demonstrate willingness and ability to perform the duties of the position. Work may range from general, unskilled, trainee-level duties to some low-medium skilled assignments involving application of knowledge (acquired in school, by hobbies, etc.) or tools, crafts, office machines and equipment, stock handling, or other work operations or process. Work may involve manual labor.The screen out element for this position is Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision. JOB ELEMENTS: Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your ability in the following areas: Ability to follow established safety standards and procedures. Ability to follow specific oral instructions. Ability to use hand tools and equipment, such as rakes, hoes, and hand trucks, properly. Ability to lift and move light-to-medium weight objects. Education: Applicant’s must be enrolled in an education institution. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
