Screen-out element(s): Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. PHYSICAL EFFORT: Driver exerts light physical effort in reaching, bending, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet and legs to operate hand and foot controls. Considerable physical effort may be required to change tires and make limited emergency repairs such as installing an emergency fan belt or replacing an electrical fuse on open highways. WORKING CONDITIONS: Driver operates vehicles in all types of traffic and weather and is exposed to the danger of serious accidents and/or road hazards. Drives in heavy traffic and at highway speeds over complicated road and interchange systems. Applicants will be evaluated on the following Job Elements: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision Operation of motor vehicles Work Practices (includes keep things neat, clean, and in order) Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc. (related to mobile equipment operation) Ability to Drive Safely (Motor Vehicles) Reliability and Dependability as a Motor Vehicle Operator Candidates for this position will be evaluated under the Job Qualification System for Trades and Labor Occupations. Under this system, how applicants gained their skill and knowledge or the length of time they have spent in a line of work are not as important as the fact that they have the required ability or potential to do the job.
