Time-in-grade: Applicants who are current Federal employees or who have held a GS grade anytime in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. Example for a GS-15 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-14 level. Specialized Experience (GS-15):
Oversees and develops budget analysis, options and recommendations to ensure senior management is well informed and can make decisions that lead to improved services and effective use of limited resources. Formulates and administers policies, procedures, and directives for the preparation, approval and issuance of Agency allotments. Manages the review, control and reporting of obligations, makes recommendations, and provides analyses on the financial condition, projections and potential problems. Monitors and evaluates program budget execution by managing the analysis of spending trends, identifying key budget execution issues, and developing recommendations for course of action. Identifies and recommends steps in the budget process to further accomplishment of the Department’s strategic goals; steps to further budget-performance integration; and strategies; and initiatives that further management excellence.
