Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience providing computer desktop user assistance to resolve operating issues; resolve compatibility issues between operating systems; and provide customization to meet the needs of different software applications. Additionally I possess experience in Information Technology on each of the following competencies; 1.) Attention to Detail – conscientious and attends to detail when planning, prioritizing, and assisting with the daily workflow on Information Technology functions; 2.) Customer Service – diagnose and resolve problems in response to customer reported problems; 3.) Oral Communication – advise on information technology systems to management and provide technical advise on operations and system maintenance; 4.) Problem Solving – ability to respond to information system issues and assist staff on day to day information technology support. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Degree incomputer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Information Technology Customer SupportSystem AdministrationTechnology Awareness Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
