Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Experience in investigating, collecting data, and conducting product quality audits by observing teardown, rework, reassembly, and inspection processes on rotary wing aircrafts; 2) Experience in developing or adjusting quality control and inspection requirements, instructions, methods, techniques and procedures; 3) Experience in reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting regulations, publications and directives pertinent to rotary wing aircraft quality systems and technical work requirements; 4) Experience in determining impact on current and/or proposed rotary wing aircraft quality assurance operations; and 5) Experience in quality assurance methods, principles, and practices to plan, direct, and/or accomplish a variety of work assignments involving all facets of quality assurance program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS- 11 or above). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone–no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
