Qualification Summary
This is a TERM position not to exceed (NTE) 1 year and 1 day. Term appointments may be extended up to a maximum of six years. If you wish to apply for this position and are a current Federal employee in a permanent position, be advised that you are not guaranteed a return to your permanent position upon termination of this term appointment. Contingent to specific conditions there may be an opportunity to be non-competitively converted to career-conditional or career (permanent) appointment. Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) experience assisting with physical examinations (such as optical or audiometric tests, electrocardiogram, urine collection/processing), 2) performing phlebotomy, AND 3) documenting patients’ medical information. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-05). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
