Qualification Summary
The qualification requirements listed below must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.You qualify for this position at the GS-11 level (starting salary $73,905) if you possess the following: One full year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-9 level, that demonstrates: 1). Experience in urban or regional planning and working at the local level with a multi-disciplinary team; 2). Creating, editing, and using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), including spatial analysis and data management tools, as well as web-based map publishing (Arcgis.com or other); and 3). Understanding of basic statistics, watershed modeling, cartographic design, 3-D visualization (ArcScene or other), applications in land-use planning, and/or background in GIScience.
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.
LL.M., if related.
Combination of both experience and education.
