Qualification Summary
In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional MECHANICAL ENGINEER performing duties such as:1) Reviews plans, specifications, cost estimates, project documents and/ or reports for completeness, functional design, sound engineering practices and compliance with all applicable codes; 2) Creates calculations, specifications and design drawings for the installation building mechanical equipment including but not limited to building and structure heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, gas installations, plumbing and piping and fire suppression systems; 3) Plans and designs renovation and improvement projects on real property facilities; and 4) Coordinates projects with other disciplines to ensure all design considerations have been met.
