Qualification Summary
Applicants are responsible for ensuring that the application submitted clearly indicates that they meet the qualifications listed below. To be eligible for this position, you must have the specialized experience, education, or a combination as indicated below.
Selective Factor: This is a bilingual position. Applicants will be required toself-certify proficiency in Spanish as a condition of employment. To be consideredproficient youmust be able to speak, read, and write in English andSpanish.All applicants must have the ability to converse and translate fluently from Spanish into English and from English to Spanish, and accurately reflect the intent and meaning of the original material. The ideal applicantwould be involved with community organizations in an effort to develop professional partnerships/connections withthe Hispaniccommunity leaders, professionals and centers of influence.
Examples of specialized experience or education sought for this opportunity may include:
GG-0301-13:EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes managing and leading project teams to complete difficult tasks; researching and analyzing the needs of a geographic area; developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders; addressing questions and concerns, and resolving problems; and distributing resources to address specific needs of a particular geographical area.
EDUCATION: No substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
