Qualification Summary
Basic Requirements:
United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
Must be proficient in the English language.
Six months experience of clerical, office or other work that indicates the ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position. OR
One year of higher education above high school. OR
Equivalent combination of clerical, office or other work experience and education above the high school level. Grade Determinations: GS-7: In addition to the basic requirements, you must also have 52 weeks of creditable experience at the GS-06 grade level directly related to this position, which has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the assigned duties. Creditable experience would include leading others in support of administrative coordination of patient care; include maintaining appointment schedules; preparing required pre-appointment documents; obtaining medical documentation from community providers; Coordinates internal and external care between customers and providers.

The actual grade at which an applicant may be selected for this vacancy is in the range of GS-7 to GS-7. Physical Requirements: This position requires no exposure to bloodborne pathogens, body fluids, and other potentially infectious materials.
